Women's Network New Beginnings Scholarship Award
The Women's Network partnered with Harrisburg Area Community College (HAAC),
York campus, to create the New Beginnings Scholarship. We award two $1,500 scholarships
per year to single head-of-household women over 30 who find themselves returning
to college to provide a better life for their children. This year's scholarship
recipient is Lacey Womack, single mother of a six-year old daughter, who is attending
HACC to studie Human Services. Lacey volunteers within the community, and the
WNY is honored to help Lacey achieve her goal of obtaining a degree and to continue
to give back to our community.
